Digital media, including webseries, is now under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

The central government has taken an important decision regarding the country's digital media. Accordingly, digital media will now be under the control of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

According to the new order, all online content related to web series, films as well as audio and visual programs, online news and current affairs broadcast on OTT platform will come under the Ministry of Broadcasting. The government has implemented this order with immediate effect.

In a sense, if the central government finds any content offensive in online content, the scissors can be turned on it. In particular, many web series are full of time slots and viewers often feel that such obscene language The experiment should not be done. Thus, if the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting assumes, it will be able to curb this type of web series.

Until now, there was no law on online content, which allowed creators to show whatever they wanted.
