Country needs 'One Nation - One Election', PM Modi's address on the occasion of Constitution Day

Addressing a function at Kevadia Colony on the occasion of Constitution Day today, PM Modi said that the country is in dire need of One Nation, One Election today.

"Elections are held every few months in the country and this should be considered. Now we also need to move towards digitalisation. We have to stop using paper. As the 75th year of independence is coming to an end, the country has to set some targets," he said. Need.

PM Modi said that the role of the judiciary has been very important in protecting the constitution. In the 70's there were attempts to break the constitution in the form of emergency but on the contrary the system of constitution became stronger after emergency. This is a lesson for us.

He also appealed to the people that every citizen should understand the constitution and act accordingly. There is a need to discuss how to increase public participation in the assembly as well. The MPs have also agreed to cut their salaries.

PM Modi said that everyone should work for the national interest. It is detrimental when politics is played on issues related to the national interest. Sardar Sarovar Dam has also become a victim of politics. The work of the dam is being halted due to some people and due to its cost. Crores of rupees were added. Even today there is no remorse on the faces of such people. Sardar Patel never joined BJP or Jana Sangh but there is no political turmoil. Due to which today a statue of Sardar Saheb is erected and people are getting jobs.
