China will build a huge dam on the Brahmaputra river, the problems of India and Bangladesh will increase


- Will implement a new five-year plan from next year

In the name of implementing its 14th Five Year Plan, China was building a huge dam on the Brahmaputra river. Experts say the closure will hurt India and Bangladesh.

The dam will be built in the area between India and Tibet. Formal construction will start from next year 2021. The news was reported by Chinese media quoting the chairman of a Chinese company.

According to a report in the Global Times quoting Yang Jiong, chairman of the Power Construction Company of China, Yarlung was planning to build a huge dam on the jumbo (the name of the Brahmaputra in Tibetan). The plan will be prepared as part of China's 14th Five Year Plan (2021-2025). The long-term goals of the scheme were to be achieved by 2035.

Details will be announced next year after the plan is approved by the National People's Congress. Enough was announced just to build a dam right now. The dam was also known as the Hydroelectric Project. China claimed that the implementation of the plan would further improve the country's water resources and local security.
