Britain's turn now after France and Austria? Security was beefed up on suspicion of a terrorist attack

Following France and Austria, there were now reports of an Islamic terrorist attack in Britain. Security was beefed up in Britain.

Terrorist attacks took place near five of the six synagogues in Austria on Tuesday and seven people were killed for no apparent reason. Earlier, a history teacher was strangled to death in France. There were haphazard shootings in Austria on Tuesday. The British intelligence service has received reports of a possible terrorist attack in Britain following a similar terrorist attack on two European countries. Security was also beefed up in Britain.

"We have stepped up security as a precaution after the incidents in France and Austria," said British Home Secretary Preeti Patel. There was a lot of risk of an attack here. However we appealed to people not to worry. So far there has been ‘adequate’ security here. We now had 'serious and strict' security arrangements.

There have been previous terrorist attacks in Britain. Britain became more cautious after the attacks in France and Austria.
