The post-mortem figures coming out after the Bihar election results are also interesting.

For example, the NDA got only 12,768 votes more than the grand alliance. This means that the gap between Tejaswi Yadav and the Bihar chief ministership is only 12,768 votes. With a margin of 15 seats, the NDA has regained power with 125 seats, while the grand alliance is trailing by just 12 seats with 110 seats. With only 12,768 votes, voters have barred Tejaswi Yadav from becoming CM.

However, Nitish Kumar's JDU party has won only 37 per cent of the seats, while Tejaswi Yadav's RJD party has won 52 per cent of the seats it contested this time. The success rate of the Congress has been 27.1 per cent as compared to 2015. The BJP has improved its strike rate a lot this time. However, this time its vote share has been 19.4 per cent.

JDU's share is 15.4 per cent and RJD's is 23.1 per cent.
