After the demise of veteran Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel, a big question has now arisen for Sonia Gandhi as to who should hand over her responsibilities in the Congress.

Ahmed Patel had been the Congress treasurer for years and the top leadership of the Congress was not worried about him but now when the Congress has to hand over the task to someone other than Ahmed Patel, there are three names running in the Congress for this.

With assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal, coming up in the coming days, the party has to select a treasurer as soon as possible. The party is fielding Ashok Gehlot, former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, KC Venugopal and Milind Deora. Is less likely to resign.

With Kamal Nath's name also being considered, there has been a stir in the Congress in Madhya Pradesh. Because if he is given this responsibility, someone else will have to be made the president of Madhya Pradesh. Milind Deora is a young leader from Maharashtra, while C Venugopal is the general secretary of the party and Rahul Gandhi is a fan of his honesty.
