A huge fire broke out in Jorhat area of Assam in which ten houses were gutted. The fire spread in the blink of an eye as the population was dense.
Due to overcrowding, Laimbamba had difficulty in reaching the area and extinguishing the fire. Attempts to contain the fire were ongoing as of this writing.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. No casualties were reported. The fire brigade was trying to contain the blaze.
