October 07 is the founding day of RAF. The full name is Rapid Action Force. There were massive riots in India in the year 1990. A major incident of social chaos ensued. With this in mind, RAF was established on 07 October 1999 by the Government of India.

This force mainly manages riots, riots in any part of the country or the state and law and order situation in a short period of time. This force is being used in festivals including Andolan Rathyatra Ganesh Visarjan Moharram Tajia in the elections taking place in every state of the country.

This force can be considered as the link between the police and the army. RAF is used when the situation is out of the control of the police and it is not appropriate to deploy the army.

Soldiers of this force are specially trained in subjects such as storms and crowd control. So that such a situation proves to be very effective in controlling the Rapid Action Force in particular. This force is the central force. So that the center deploys it directly to overcome the odd situation.
