New Delhi 7th October 2020 Wednesday

After the agricultural law, there was a protest against the new labor law of the central government. The Indian Trade Unions, like the branch of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, announced an agitation against the new Labor Law.

This agitation may increase the difficulty of the Narendra Modi government. The Indian Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) has announced protests against the new Labor Law. The three labor laws that the Modi government has announced include more than two dozen labor laws. There is strong opposition from the Indian Trade Unions against some of the provisions of the law.

For example, the withdrawal of the right to strike is not acceptable to the union. Similarly some of the provisions made in the job contract are not valid to the union. That is why the trade unions affiliated with the union were protesting.

"We will be celebrating Alert Week from October 10 to October 16," said Binay Kumar Sinha, general secretary of the Indian Trade Union Confederation. Meanwhile, the Modi government will be warned to withdraw the reforms made in the Labor Law or else there will be a nationwide agitation.

At the 19th National Convention of the Indian Trade Union Confederation, it was decided to launch an all-India movement against this amendment to the Labor Law. To put pressure on the Modi government through this movement to repeal the anti-labor issues in the law. Other trade unions are also joining us.

"If the government is not ready to listen to us, we will start a nationwide agitation from October 28," he added. This will be the responsibility of the Modi government. The suggestions we are making are beneficial to both workers and industries. The government was prepared to understand that.
