The BJP announced the list of candidates for the by-elections late last night

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday night announced the list of candidates for the by-elections to all the 28 assembly seats. All the 22 former MLAs who left the Congress along with former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia have been given tickets.

Kamal Nath's government came into the minority only after these former MLAs resigned from the assembly. During the change of power, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan promised that all former MLAs who left the Congress would contest in the BJP.

The party has also given tickets to three former MLAs who have resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP. These include Pradyuman Singh Lodhi of Malhara, Narayan Patel of Mandhata and Sumitra Devi Kaidesar from Nepanagar.

The party has also announced candidates for the seat vacated by the death of three MLAs. Among them, BJP has fielded former MLA of Jaura, Subedar Singh Razodha, Manoj Kemal of Agar and Narayan Singh Pawar of Bayora.
