The asteroid is approaching the earth at a speed of 24046 km per hour

According to NASA, Asteroid 2020 RK-2 is approaching Earth at a speed of 24046 kilometers per hour. It is estimated that the asteroid may be 36 to 81 meters in diameter and 118 to 265 feet wide. This asteroid is said to be as big as a Boeing 737 passenger plane.

The asteroid will pass close to Earth at 1:12 pm Eastern Time Zone and 6:12 pm British time. NASA estimates that the asteroid will pass 2,378,482 miles from Earth.

The US space agency NASA has said that an asteroid named 2020 RK-2 is coming to Earth very fast. It will enter Earth orbit on October 7, although it is likely to pass close to Earth. NASA has said that the asteroid will not cause any damage to the Earth, but scientists are constantly monitoring its movements. The asteroid was first spotted by scientists in September.
