Selling biryani for Rs 10 became heavy, restaurant owner became jailed

In Corona's tough times where the government and doctors are appealing to maintain social distance, a hotel owner found it difficult to sell biryani for Rs 10.

A biryani seller has opened his own restaurant in Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu. He kept the price of a plate of biryani at just Rs 10 for the promotion of his restaurant. He was arrested and jailed.

A restaurant manager by the name of Zaheer Hussain also advertised for a promotion, which made many people realize that biryani was to be sold for ten rupees. Due to which there was a fear that the situation would get out of control. Eventually the police had to go to control the situation.

The shop owner had prepared 2500 packets of biryani for Rs 10. Fifty percent of the packets were sold in half an hour and the promotion was stopped as soon as the police entered.
