Rahul Gandhi will try again to go to Hathras today, after falling into a scuffle two days ago

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will once again try to go to Hathras in Uttar Pradesh today. Two days ago, he tried unsuccessfully to go to Hathras with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He was stopped by the police and Rahul Gandhi fell in a scuffle.

On the 14th of last month, four Thakur youths gang-raped a Dalit girl in Hathras, cut off her tongue and broke her spine. Earlier, the girl was taken to JN Medical College Hospital. But as there were not enough facilities there, he was brought to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi where he was treated for ten days but doctors could not save him.

The body was then brought to Hathras where instead of handing over the body to his family, the police cremated the body at half past midnight. Protests erupted across the country.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka tried to go to Hathras but the police did not let them go. Rahul Gandhi will try to go to Hathras again today. Police also stopped the media from going to Hathras. Rahul will leave for Hathras this afternoon. It was learned that he would be accompanied by Congress MPs.
