Prime Minister Modi pays last respects to Ram Vilas Paswan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid his last respects to Ram Vilas Paswan. The body of Ram Vilas Paswan has been laid to rest at 12 Janpath. Where all the leaders are reaching. Meanwhile, PM Modi met Chirag Paswan and other family members.

After the demise of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the national flag has been hoisted at half-mast on the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House.

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has died at the age of 74. Chirag Paswan, son of Lok Janshakti Party president and Ram Vilas Paswan, tweeted about the demise of the Union Minister. Ram Vilas Paswan has been active in politics since 1969. At the age of 23, he won the Bihar Assembly elections for the first time.

Senior Lok Janshakti Party leader and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan underwent heart surgery. Paswan had been ill for the last several days. He breathed his last at a hospital in Delhi. Paswan was the food minister of the central government.

Chirag Paswan, son of Ram Vilas Paswan, wrote on Twitter: 'Papa ... I am no longer in this world, but I know you are always with me .. Miss you Papa' Before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he formed an alliance with the BJP. . After that, when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, Paswan was made the Food Minister.

He also got a ministerial post when the Modi government came to power again in 2019. Earlier, Paswan had been a Union Minister in Manmohan Singh's government from 2004 to 2009. In 2000, Ram Vilas Paswan split from the Janata Dal to form the Lok Janshakti Party. In the ensuing Bihar Assembly elections, the LJP won 29 seats.

Ram Vilas Paswan had become a minister in six different governments. Paswan first became Labor Welfare Minister in VP Singh's government in 1989. Paswan was Railway Minister from 1996 to 1998 when Deve Gowda became the Prime Minister. In 1999, he was appointed Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Ram Vilas Paswan made room in the ministry of six prime ministers from VP Singh to Modi.

Ram Vilas Paswan started his political career in 1969. At the age of 23, Paswan became the winner in the Bihar Assembly on a United Socialist Party ticket. Ram Vilas Paswan had a strong hold in Bihar as a Dalit leader. Ram Vilas Paswan was at one time a very popular leader even among the farmers. He holds the record of winning the Lok Sabha by a landslide.

Expressing grief over the demise of Ram Vilas Paswan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote: Ram Vilas Paswan was a symbol of hard work in Indian politics. He watched Indian politics closely from a very young age. He played a very important role as a youth leader during the crisis. Leaders including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Yogi paid tributes to Ram Vilas Paswan.
