Preston Kulkarni, a native of India, was contesting from Donald Trump's party in Texas, USA. Kulkarni, who has previously worked in Iran and Israel, is said to have a long association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh of India.

Trump's supporters are currently working hard to attract Indian voters. He began to highlight Indian issues. Indian-Americans were also getting a chance to campaign. Candidates of Indian origin were also in the fray. Preston Kulkarni Awaj is a candidate.

Preston Kulkarni, 41, is a rival of Republican Troy Nehls. If Preston wins, he will be the first Hindu representative to win in Texas. The state of Texas has a diverse population. 62 percent of the people here are white. 25 per cent are of Latin descent, 17 per cent are Asians, including Indians. Bingori is 12 percent of the population. Where there is a large white population, the Asian or non-white candidate usually does not get a chance. The fact that Preston got the chance is proof of his grip on the area.

The Kulkarni family first arrived in the United States in 1969. Politics can be said to have been inherited by Preston. Sam Houston, the ancestor of his mother Margaret, came to the United States from Mexico in the 19th century and was a major figure in Texas politics. Preston's father, Venkatesh Kulkarni, was a novelist and professor. The family's affiliation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is three generations old.
