With the help of China, Pakistan was trying to get out of the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) gray list. But that did not happen. Pakistan, which has failed to curb terror funding and money laundering, has been placed on the FATF's Asia unit Asia Pacific Group's Enhanced Follow-Up List.

A long stay on the Asia-Pacific Group's gray list increased the likelihood of Pakistan being blacklisted by the FATF, according to a report in Pakistan's own daily Dawn. Pakistan was instrumental in implementing the FATF's recommendations on terror funding and money laundering. The FATF did not accept his excuses and fabrications. That is why the Asia Pacific Group kept Pakistan on the enhanced follow-up list. In one way or another, Pakistan was keen to get out of this list.

The FATF had prepared 40 conditions for Pakistan. Pakistan had to implement it. Pakistan implemented only two of the 40 conditions. He was making excuses in enforcing the rest of the conditions. Now the whole world knows that Pakistan is the father of terrorism.

The FATF review meeting is scheduled for October 21-23. Meanwhile, Pakistan was constantly struggling to get out of the gray list. In a meeting between October 21 and 21, the FATF will decide whether to blacklist Pakistan. Given the current situation, Pakistan was more likely to be blacklisted.
