With the first phase of Bihar Assembly polls just a few days away, an opinion poll predicted that incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would get a majority again. Apparently, the news was a source of tension for parties dreaming of defeating the NDA.

There are a total of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly. According to opinion polls, Nitish Kumar was likely to win 133 to 143 seats. The NDA was expected to get 38 per cent of the vote. The Bihar Assembly needs 122 seats for a majority.

In this opinion poll, however, there was talk that Nitish Kumar was more worried. According to this story, Nitish Kumar's popularity was declining. At the time of the 2015 elections, 80 per cent people were satisfied with Nitish Kumar's performance. This time the figure dropped to 52 percent. In 2015, only 18% of people were dissatisfied with his work. At present, the number of such people has gone up to 44%. With that in mind, Nitish Kumar should come up with his own strategy.

One of the questions in this opinion poll was who could be the best Chief Minister for Bihar. In a way, Nitish Kumar is still the best in answering that question. He got 31 per cent votes while Tejaswi Yadav got 27 per cent votes.
