Nepali Prime Minister KP Oli, who has been dancing at the behest of China and has taken an anti-India stance, is now surrounded in his own house.

Former Nepali PM Baburam Bhattarai has alleged that a number of leaders, including Prachanda and KP Oli, have taken bribes of Rs 900 crore for Nepal's hydropower project. The contract for the project is with a Chinese company.

Although the allegations have been denied by the Communist Party as well as the Nepali Congress, Bhattarai said, "I have enough evidence to substantiate this allegation."

However, the allegations have caused a stir in Nepal's politics. The hydropower project was awarded to a Nepalese company when Bhattarai was PM. Then the Nepali Congress government was formed and its PM Sher Bahadur again decided to complete the project with a Nepali company.

However, after KP Oli became PM in 2017, the contract was again awarded to a Chinese company. The decision was opposed at the time.
