Madhya Pradesh police commits suicide of Dalit woman without taking gangrape complaint

A gangrape victim has committed suicide in Chichli village of Narsinghpur. The victim's husband alleged that he was pushing the police station to lodge a complaint against the accused but the complaint was not taken up. The case was reported in the media and reached Bhopal.

In view of this case, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had ordered strict action. The two accused were arrested following the CM's displeasure and order to take strict action and an offense under Sections 376D and 307 was registered against them. The CM said rapists in the state should not be bullied.

CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has ordered strict action in the case of not taking his complaint after gangrape with a Dalit woman in Chichli village of Narsinghpur. Police station in-charge Mishrilal, who did not register an FIR, has been arrested following the CM's order. Three accused Arvind, Motilal and Anil Rai have been arrested in the case.

Additional SPs, SDOPs have been removed with immediate effect. Clarification has also been sought from Khargone's SP in this regard. However, the SP is currently on leave.
