Like Ayodhya, Mathura controversy will provoke Chedi Sangh violence: Owaisi

New delhi date. 17. Saturday 2020 October

The case on the Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi dispute in Mathura has reached the court and its next hearing is scheduled for November 18. The petition also seeks to move the mosque adjacent to Lord Krishna's temple.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said in a statement that the RSS would take a violent stance on the issue as well. Owaisi said on social media that what was feared was happening. The intentions of the people of the Sangh Parivar have become stronger. Remember, if you and I are still asleep, after a few years a violent campaign will be launched by the Sangh for Mathura and the Congress will also be a part of this campaign.

Earlier, Owaisi had questioned the petition. He said at the time, there was no need to revive the controversy. The 1991 law prohibits changes in the status quo of any place of worship. The union had settled the dispute in 1968. Why is it being re-opened now?

In November, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Ram Janmabhoomi and allowed the construction of a temple on the disputed site.
