With the Bihar Assembly elections, the campaign for by-elections is in full swing in several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. By-elections are very important in Madhya Pradesh and its impact is clearly visible in the election campaign. Allegations are being made between BJP and Congress. Meanwhile, Congress leader and former chief minister Kamal Nath has made offensive remarks on the Bharatiya Janata Party's women candidate. The BJP has reacted sharply.

Kamal Nath, who came to Dabra in Madhya Pradesh to campaign for Congress candidate Surendra Rajesh, has described BJP candidate Imrati Devi as an item. Kamal Nath said that Suresh Rajeshji is our candidate, he is simple in nature. They will work, they are not like him, what is his name. (People shout - Imrati Devi), why should I take her name, you know her better than I do. You should have warned me already, what an item this is, (laughs)

Notably, Imrati Devi was also the Minister for Women and Child Development in the Kamal Nath government. He was close to Jyotiraditya Scindia and also joined the BJP when Scindia revolted from the Congress.

Shivraj replied to Kamal Nath

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted sharply to former CM Kamal Nath's remarks. He tweeted, 'Kamalnath ji! Imrati Devi is the name of the daughter of a poor farmer who started working in the village and today she is contributing to nation building as a public servant. Congress called me hungry and naked, and for a woman, using an item-like term, she re-exposed her feudal thinking.

In another tweet, Shivraj said, "Are you using such 'unlimited language' calling yourself 'Limit Purushottam'?" While the country is worshiping women on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, such a statement of yours shows your dirty mindset. It is better that you take back your words and apologize to every daughter of the state, including Imrati Devi. ”Now Shivraj Singh has decided to observe a two-hour silence in protest of Kamal Nath's statement.
