A report was released on how often Narendra Modi spoke in Parliament as Prime Minister. During his ten-year rule, Manmohan Singh addressed Parliament 48 times.

Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time and he called Dr. Manmohan Singh 'Maun Mohan Singh'. Narendra Modi, on the other hand, addressed Parliament only 22 times during his six-year rule.

The report claimed that the Prime Minister was neglecting Parliament at a glance. Instead of saying anything in Parliament, the Prime Minister believed in having a direct dialogue with the people. Like Congress Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Mann interacts with people on the radio or in direct contact with the people through social media.

The authors of the report also claimed that the Prime Minister was following the ordinance by ignoring Parliament. The Narendra Modi government was bringing in an average of 11 ordinances a year compared to the Manmohan Singh government. The Manmohan Singh government brought in a maximum of six ordinances a year. The practice of sending a bill to a parliamentary committee in the Modi government was almost abolished.

The authors of the article also claimed that HD Deve Gowda, who had been in power for only two years, had addressed Parliament more times than Narendra Modi. Atal Bihari Vajpayee addressed Parliament 77 times in six years when he was Prime Minister.
