Congress leader Udit Raje has argued that the Kumbh Mela cannot be organized if the madrassas cannot be run with government money.

Targeting the Assam government after it decided that the madrassa could not be run at government expense, Udit Raje said that the UP government should stop spending Rs 4,200 crore behind the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad as per the decision of the Assam government. Government money should not be used in the program. However, Udit Raje later deleted this post on Twitter.
