'Give arms licenses to Dalits for self-defense'

-Demand made by Chandrasekhar Azad of Bhim Army

-Yogi Adityanath's allegation of being a racist

Lucknow Dated 3rd October 2020 Saturday

Speaking on the issue of Hathras scandal, Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad said that Dalits should be given weapons licenses for self-defense. He accused Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that Yogi is a racist and therefore Dalits do not get justice. The victims were being beaten.

He said destroying evidence is also a crime. State police attempted to destroy the evidence. I have come to promise my mother that I will not return home until justice is done.

"Millions of people have licensed weapons," Chandrasekhar said. Now give arms license to dalits for self defense. I am going to tell the Valmiki community to stop cleaning until justice is done. Do not clean. Demonstrations also took place at Jantar Mantar in the capital New Delhi over the Hathras case. Participating in the demonstration, Chandshekhar said the case should be taken up in a fast track court on a daily basis and the culprits should be punished immediately so that others are afraid of such crimes.

He also lashed out at the Hathras victim's funeral, which was conducted by police at midnight. He said that the police would have dared to do so with a non-Dalit person. The police could do this because they know that Yogi Adityanath is a racist chief minister.
