It would not be a surprise if the onion (onion) which is considered as the musk of the poor is sold at the price of one hundred rupees per kg by Dussehra. According to informed sources, the old stock of onions was running out and the new crop has not yet hit the market.

Lasalgam in Nashik, Maharashtra has the largest onion market. The wholesale price of onion reached Rs 7,800 per quintal in the market on Wednesday morning. Considering that neither the poor nor the middle class could afford onions. If the wholesaler gets onion at Rs 84 per kg, at what price does he sell it?

If this onion goes from Nashik to Delhi, it will increase by seven to eight rupees per kg. So onions have to be sold at Rs 100 per kg.

The average auction price of onion in Lasalgam yesterday was Rs 7,100 per quintal. Even the lowest quality onions were sold at Rs. 1900 per quintal. Excellent quality onions were auctioned at Rs 7,812. 7,000 tonnes of onions were sold at auction in Lasalgam on Tuesday. This was the highest price of onion in the last ten months.

Earlier, onion prices had touched Rs 100 in December last year.
