Kolkata on Tuesday, October 20, 2020

Speaking at a meeting of a social group in Kolkata, BJP president JP Nadda said the implementation of the CAA was delayed due to Corona. This law will be enacted and enforced very soon.

Attacking the Mamata government in the state, he said that the Mamata government was pursuing a policy of divide and rule to maintain its power. BJP works for everyone's development. You will all benefit from the new law on citizenship. Corona has delayed CAA legislation. But now it will not be too late. The CAA law will be enacted very soon and its implementation will begin.

It is pertinent to note here that the CAA favored granting Indian citizenship to Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Jains living in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Colombo and Bangladesh as well as those who suffered at the hands of the rulers. Opposition's argument against this is that only Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Christians, why this provision is enough. Muslims should also benefit from it.
