Crores scam in the name of Investors Summit, paid Rs 2 crore even though hotel rooms were vacant in Uttar Pradesh

- Paid in 2018 and 2019 - Whose father's Diwali?

New Delhi / Lucknow Dated 17th October 2020 Saturday

In the name of UP Investors Summit and Ground Breaking Ceremony, suites were vacant for three days in some five-star hotels in Lucknow and yet details came to light that the hotels had been paid Rs 1.80 crore.

When the matter was reported to the Chief Minister's Office, the Chief Minister's Chief Secretary ordered an inquiry. The charge was also proved. But it is interesting to know how the action was taken. A few third tier officers of the state tourism department were ordered to be transferred to another district instead of Lucknow.

The transfer order was issued on the fifth day of the current month. But that order has not yet been complied with. This is called Yogi Adityanath's Ram Rajya! The inquiry committee found that bogus payments were made to a general employee of the tourism department and that the tourism department officials ate the cream.

At the behest of tourism department officials, a Parijat Pandey had made bookings for foreign guests in five-star hotels. Foreign guests did not come and the hotel room was empty for three days. Yet payments were approved and paid.
