- Thus the man was the corporator of the party

New Delhi Dated 23rd October 2020 Friday

AAP's former corporator Tahir Hussain's bail application was rejected by the Delhi Sessions Court and Judge Vinod Yadav ruled that your house had become a hotbed of riots.

Earlier this year, protests were taking place in the Shaheen Bagh area in the capital New Delhi against the new Citizenship Act (CAA) and the Citizenship Register. Violent riots erupted in New Delhi in February in which several people, including an Intelligence Bureau official, lost their lives.

Police allege that Tahir Hussain played a major role in the riots. A number of petrol bombs, piles of stones and other weapons were found on the roof of Tahir Hussain's house. In the video clip of the riots, it was clearly seen that the attacks were taking place from the roof of Tahir Hussain's house. This man was thus the corporator of the Aadmi Party. Tahir Hussain was one of the few people arrested by the police for being involved in riots or plotting riots.

Tahir had applied for bail. Rejecting that, Justice Vinod Yadav said that the riots were reminiscent of the riots that took place after the partition of the country in 1847. Tahir Hussain, being a corporator, was instrumental in organizing and participating in the riots. He cannot be granted bail. It can prevent witnesses from testifying through intimidation.
