Corona cases crossed 71 lakh in the country, 61.38 lakh patients were cured

Corona's outbreak in India seems to be slowly subsiding. Corona has killed less than 1,000 people in 24 hours for the eighth day in a row in the country. In the last 24 hours, 70,000 new cases of corona have been reported in the country while 832 more have died while 72,743 patients have recovered.

This brought the total number of cases to 71,13,143 and the death toll to 1,09,118. So far, 61,38,774 corona patients have recovered in the country, according to PTI's state-wise tele.

More than 61 lakh corona patients have recovered in the country, with more than half of the recovery rates seen in the five states with the highest number of corona cases, the health ministry said on Sunday.

The states most affected by Corona in the country are Maharashtra (15.28 lakh cases, 40,349 deaths), Andhra Pradesh (7.55 lakh cases, 6,224 deaths), Karnataka (7.10 lakh cases, 9,966 deaths), Tamil Nadu (6.56 lakh cases, 10,252 deaths) and Uttar Pradesh ( 4.36 lakh cases (6,394 deaths).

These states account for 61 per cent of active cases of corona. However, these states accounted for 54.3 per cent of the total 61 lakh recovery cases in Corona. In addition, the death toll from the corona has dropped below 1,000 for the eighth day in a row in the country.
