Chirag Paswan parted ways with the NDA, fielding candidates against each other

- Demand to make Chirag a minister in place of father

Patna Tuesday 13th October 2020

As the Bihar Assembly elections approached, new colors were emerging in politics. Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party had decided to split with the NDA. But he did not give up his claim to be with the BJP. The Lok Sabha had announced that it would not field a candidate against the BJP.

Despite the announcement, Chirag fielded his own candidate against the BJP in Bhagalpur. The BJP had declared Rohit Pandey as its candidate while the LJP had declared Deputy Mayor Rajesh Verma as its candidate. Interestingly, Rajesh Verma still became a member of the LJP in July. However, the BJP had earlier fielded its own candidate against the LJP candidate in Vaishali's Lalganj and East Champaran.

Thus the leaders in Bihar say anything and do anything. The LJP also demanded that Ram Vilas be in the Union Cabinet. Now that he is dead, the Modi government should make Chirag Paswan a minister. The LJP was constantly claiming that we are with the BJP. Taking Nitish Kumar's serious objection, the BJP warned the LJP not to go beyond our name. If you use a photograph of the Prime Minister in your poster, we have to complain to the Election Commission.

This whole spectacle was being played without caring about the voters.
