A paragliding naval officer was killed and a power paragliding engine was seized in the air.

An Indian Navy officer was killed in an accident while paragliding in Karwar area of ​​Karnataka's Uttar Kannada district.

The officer Madhusudan Reddy was a resident of Andhra Pradesh and was currently posting on Karwar Coast. Water sports have been closed for the past six months due to Corona. Water sports started for the first time on Friday and Captain Reddy lost his life.

Explaining the cause of the accident, a naval spokesperson said Reddy Power was paragliding. While Captain Reddy was in the air, his power paragliding engine had stopped so he could not land safely. His instrument was 100 feet high at the time. When the engine stopped, the paraglider fell into the sea and all of a sudden the rope with the paraglider could not be separated from Reddy's body. Along with the paraglider, Reddy drowned in the sea.

Police said Reddy was alive when he was pulled out of the sea. But the ambulance called to take him to the hospital did not arrive on time. Realizing the emergency, he was taken to the hospital in a jeep. On the way, Reddy breathed his last. Water Sport was shut down once again soon after the tragedy. Vidyadra Vaidya, the owner of Power Paragliding, was also with Reddy as a para pilot. Vidyadhar was rescued by local fishermen. Reddy could not save himself despite being an excellent swimmer.
