A number of Chinese soldiers fell ill in the Finger area

With the onset of winter, a large number of Chinese soldiers were reported to be falling ill in the border area, especially in the Finger Area.

It is still the beginning of winter but the minimum temperature in the area has dropped to minus 15 to 20 degrees Celsius which has become unbearable for the Chinese troops and they have started getting sick.

The Indian Army received information that the temperature in the Line of Actual Control area in Eastern Ladakh had become extremely cold which the Chinese troops could not contain. Activity at the Chinese military hospital in the Finger Area was much higher than before.

In addition to the drop in temperature in the Finger Area, cold stormy winds also increased. The border area in Eastern Ladakh is at an altitude of 14,000 feet to 18,000 feet above sea level. Oxygen is also very difficult to get there. There were reports of Chinese soldiers suffering from Acute Mountain Sickness in the area. People who are not accustomed to living in such weather have a problem called high altitude pulmonary edema. The man also has trouble breathing. If left untreated, some people begin to bleed and die instantly. During the Koro period, Chinese troops were stationed in some areas between Finger Area Four and Eight. A temporary hospital was also set up there.

Now the weather was getting heavy for them. The hospital's antafera was over.
