38 criminal cases against RJD candidate in Bihar, wealth increased by 240 per cent in five years

Lalu Yadav, the undisputed king of Bihar, was facing 38 criminal cases against one of his RJD candidates and his wealth had increased by 240 per cent in the last five years, the candidate said while filing his nomination papers.

This Bahubali candidate Anant Singh is in jail like his leader Lalu Yadav and was contesting the Assembly elections while in jail.

Of the 38 offenses registered against Anant Singh, a minimum of four offenses are under sections 307 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Article 307 is for attempted murder and 302 is for murder. It may be recalled that two days ago, Lalu's son Tejaswi, while talking about tainted candidates, told the media that "we have given tickets to the candidates who can win the elections."

The leader, nicknamed the "small government" in Bihar, said in his affidavit that he had assets worth Rs 685.5 million. In 2015, he had assets worth Rs 2,805 crore. His fortune has increased by 240 per cent in the last five years. The man is said to have first gone to jail at the age of nine.

In 2015, he had Rs 4.32 lakh in cash. Today, the cash is Rs 33.96 lakh. In 2015, the cash in his bank account was one lakh 85 thousand rupees. Today, the bank balance is 41.87 lakh. In 2015, he had 19.5 lakh bonds and shares. Today there are shares and bonds worth Rs 4 crore 12 lakh. RJD has many such candidates. Lalu Yadav himself is currently in jail.
