The Delhi government has warned private schools to charge extra in addition to tuition fees. The Delhi government has further told private schools not to increase fees until the schools start.

The government has warned that schools that do not follow the rules will be fined under the Delhi School Education Act and Rules, 18.

Udit Prakash Raje, director of Delhi's education department, has written a letter to school principals saying most schools are run by trusts and charitable societies. According to their Memorandum of Article such trusts should focus on educating students without charity and profit.

Universities and schools across the country have been closed since March 15 following an order issued by the central government to control Corona. As a result, most schools and colleges are offering online education to students at home.

Schools will not be able to charge transportation charges until the schools are closed, according to instructions issued by the Department of Education. Schools will not be able to ask for tuition fees for three months, six months or a whole year at a time. They will have to pay the fee every month.
