Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has slammed the Imran Khan government, saying the world was mocking Pakistan today.

Nawaz Sharif, who is in London for medical treatment, was present at a joint video conference of the opposition on Sunday and said that Imran Khan's government could not even provide the man with the necessities of life. There was a situation in Pakistan where the law was being mocked.

"Our fight is not against Imran Khan but against those who brought him to this place," he said. Criticizing the Pakistani army, Nawaz said the army should stay away from politics and only protect the borders. What is the role of the army in politics. The military should allow the constitution to do its job peacefully. In Pakistan, the military interferes in politics. There is still time. If we change this government and this system, the country will be able to move forward.

Currently all the political parties in Pakistan were united against the government of Imran Khan, the joint press conference held on Sunday was a part of the organization. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but will not co-operate with the government.

It may be recalled here that a corruption case is pending against Nawaz Sharif and the court declared him a fugitive and arrested his brother and daughter.

Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam is active in politics and has often criticized the Imran Khan government. The court summoned Nawaz Sharif to appear before it. "My doctors do not allow me to get out of here because of Koro's time," Nawaz replied.
