The Modi government, which has promised to double the income of farmers, does not have the income figure of farmers

The Modi government is talking about doubling the income of farmers by 2022 but the shocking thing is that the Modi government does not have the figure of the average income of farmers in the country. After the Modi government came to power, there are data on the average income of farmers till the year 2015-16 but there are no income figures after that.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was confused when a question was asked in the Lok Sabha on the issue. They only had Haryana statistics available. However, sources say that there is a mess in it too. Haryana has a majority of farmers so per capita income is spent on the average income of farmers. The rest of the government has no official data.

According to government figures, agricultural income has deteriorated under the Modi regime. The contribution of agriculture to the country's GDP has come down from 18.2 per cent in 2014 to 16.5 per cent and the growth rate has also come down to 2.8 per cent from 6.3 per cent.

The government does not have any new data on the average income of farmers in the country. As a result, farmers' income data has stopped coming from 2015-16.

According to a report, data on the average income of farmers in the country has stopped coming since 2015-16. According to the report, in the year 2019, Agriculture Minister Narendrasinh Tomar had said in the Rajya Sabha that the income of Haryana farmers is the highest. His monthly income is Rs 14,434. The source, however, was not disclosed.

The government has recently passed three important bills related to agriculture in Parliament, which have been widely opposed by farmers across the country.

The government is claiming that the bill will increase the income of farmers, while the farmers are claiming that the bill will be detrimental to them. Farmers allege that the bill will shut down the minimum support price (APMC) and government procurement system.
