The five members of the Security Council backed India

-Pakistan tried to label Indian citizens as terrorists

-Pent member countries pull India out

UNO Dated 3rd September 2020 Thursday

Pakistan's one-sided anti-India move was thwarted by five members of the UN Security Council. With the help of UNO, Pakistan was trying to brand some Indian nationals as terrorists. But the five members of the Security Council backed India and thwarted Pakistan's move.

The US, Britain, France, Germany and Belgium forced Pakistan to retreat. The UN Security Council has two temporary and three permanent members. The members instructed the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee Secretariat of the UN Security Council to block Pakistan's proposal to declare Indian nationals Angara Appaji and Govind Patnaik Duggivalasa as terrorists. The five countries have made it clear that they have not provided Pakistan with a single piece of accurate evidence that Indian nationals are terrorists, so the names should not be added to the list of terrorists.

This is not the first time that Pakistan has branded innocent Indians as terrorists. Pakistan has made such a nefarious attempt before. Also in June this year, Pakistan tried to add Indian nationals Venumadhav Dongra and Ajay Mistry to the list of terrorists who were stopped by the US. This year too, Pakistan has not been able to produce evidence that any Indian national is a terrorist.

TS Thirumurthy, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, wrote on Twitter that the UN Security Council's 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee had failed in its attempt to give political color. I publicly thank all the countries that have supported India. Pakistan could not produce a single piece of evidence against any Indian citizen
