Strict action may be taken against MPs who violate the dignity of Parliament

Sunday was a tumultuous day in Parliament. An important bill with agriculture was passed in the Rajya Sabha today. Strict action is now likely to be taken against the parliaments in the Rajya Sabha. Vice President and Rajya Sabha Speaker M. Vainkayanaidu is likely to take action against the member of parliament who staged the riots in the name of the dignity of the Rajya Sabha.

Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien, Congress MP Ripun Bora, AAP MP Sanjay Singh and DMK MP Tiruchi Shiva went to Deputy Speaker Harivansh Narayan's well and snatched the footnote. The Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned for 10 minutes due to a commotion in the House, after which the Agriculture Bill was finally passed.

Opposition forces today opposed the Agriculture Bills passed by the Rajya Sabha. Which were passed with a resounding vote in the Rajya Sabha.

According to sources, Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu is upset over the incident and has expressed the possibility of taking action against the MPs, who stormed the House and chanted slogans against the deputy speaker and also tore up papers kept on his desk. The BJP is also unhappy with the opposition MPs for the way they protested and tried to block the Rajya Sabha proceedings.

High-level meeting at the Vice President's residence

A high-level meeting was held in the Rajya Sabha today at the residence of Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu over the opposition's outcry. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker Harivansh, Union Minister, Piyush Goyal and Prahlad Joshi.

Opposition will bring no-confidence motion against the vice-president

Opposition MPs have tabled a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Harivansh. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel said that he (Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Harivansh) should protect democratic traditions but instead his attitude has harmed the democratic traditions and processes today. So we have decided to bring a no-confidence motion against them.
