PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet

Amid ongoing tensions between India and China, Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping may meet. The meeting between the two leaders will be discussed on Thursday during news agency PTI. It is forbidden that the meeting between the two countries will take place in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has arrived in Russia to attend the SCO meeting. He is scheduled to meet his counterpart Wang Yi. The foreign ministers of the two countries will decide whether to meet Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Jinping. Rajnath Singh was on a visit to Russia recently and met his counterpart General Wei Fenghi in Moscow during the SCO.

China has requested Defense Minister Singh to meet him. A statement from the Chinese Ministry of Defense said that the cause and truth of the tension between India and China is very clear and India is fully responsible for this.

The statement said that China cannot lose its territory and that the Chinese military is fully committed, confident and worthy of national sovereignty and integrity. The two countries should implement the agreement reached between Chairman Jinping and PM Modi and resolve the issue through dialogue.
