New Delhi Dated 18th September 2020 Friday

For some time now, there has been constant tension between India and China on the Ladakh border. The Indian army chased away Chinese troops trying to infiltrate the Galvan gorge. A few Chinese goons were killed in the meantime, but China did not admit it until yesterday.

China has now admitted that a People's Liberation Army soldier was killed in a clash in the Galvan Gorge. A spokesman for the Chinese government, the Global Times, reported that we had been shot dead in the Galvan ravine.

In support of a statement by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Global Times chief editor Hu Zhiji tweeted that some People's Liberation Army personnel had been killed in the Galvan gorge clash. India says twenty martyrs were killed but the number of deaths was low as far as I know.

On Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the Rajya Sabha that China was creating tension on the Ladakh border without any prior provocation and that 20 Chinese soldiers had been killed in a clash in the Galvan gorge with Chinese troops. The situation in Ladakh is serious but the Indian Army was able to deal with any situation.

Rajnath Singh further said that no power in the world can stop India from patrolling the Pangong area, Pangong Lake is an integral part of India and India had the right to defend its territory.

On June 15, Chinese troops tried to infiltrate the Indian border. The Indian troops thwarted the attempt. Since then, tensions between China and India have been steadily rising.
