The current Corona epidemic and the subsequent lockdown are increasing mental stress among the people. This has led to an increase in the number of suicides in India amid the Koro epidemic. According to a research, one out of every two working women in India is currently forced to live a life of stress.

The Koro epidemic has forced people to spend more time in their homes for months. In the meantime, the growing stress among the people is considered to be the main reason for the current suicides.

Corona epidemics could not be contained when the government announced the lockdown, which is why Corona cases are now on the rise. On the one hand, weak economy and rising unemployment, on the other hand, the rate of stress among people forced to stay at home for months has increased during this period.

The Workforce Confidence Index Survey was conducted by Microsoft's LinkedIn. In which the opinions of working professional women were taken. Another survey claimed that 47 percent of women are currently forced to live with more stress due to pandemic.

The Corona epidemic has pushed people into more emotion. And its biggest victims are the poor, laborers, farmers as well as women who go out to earn a living along with housework. At a time when men were also living at home when there was a lockdown, atrocities against women increased and cases of beatings began to surface.

Avinder Singh, director of the Ashoka Center for Well Being, said coronas and lockdowns have doubled the stress of people who are already living under stress. Emergency ambulance services run by the government in various states are also getting more suicide phone calls.
