Earthquake shakes Tirthdham Nashik, more than three aftershocks in last 24 hours

The quake struck at Tirthdham Nashik in Maharashtra around 4.30 am today. This was the third shock in the last twenty-four hours.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude 3.2 earthquake that struck Nashik this morning was not very dangerous. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. The epicenter was reported 93 kilometers west of Nashik.

Thus, the tremors were felt in Nashik since Tuesday morning. The quake, which struck Tuesday morning, had a magnitude of 3.8. The first shock came at nine-fifty in the morning. The epicenter was reported 103 kilometers west of Nashik. The quake affected the west coast of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, on Monday morning. The epicenter was reported 102 km west of Mumbai.

The shock in Mumbai came at 8 am. The first tremor hit Nashik at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Then almost immediately another shock came. According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors were mild. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property.

Many may not even realize such a small earthquake. Significantly, an earthquake shook Nashik three days ago. Although no damage was reported from the quake, there is an atmosphere of fear among the people. People have moved out of their homes.
