'Dalit girl did not get justice even after death', Rahul and Priyanka seek answer from Yogi on Hathras case

- The right of family members to be buried was also taken away

New Delhi, 30 September 2020, Wednesday

Two senior Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, took to Twitter to ask Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to comment on the Hathras gangrape case in Uttar Pradesh. The two siblings slammed the rising crime rate in the yogi's kingdom.

Rahul Gandhi said that this Dalit daughter did not get justice even after her death. The facts are suppressed when a daughter of India is gang raped and murdered. When a young woman dies, her family's right to a funeral is also taken away. This behavior is unjust and abusive.

Priyanka Gandhi wrote on Twitter that the family of the girl who died at 2 am was stunned but the police did not listen to them and conducted the funeral themselves. The girl was not given timely treatment before she was tortured and her family's right to a funeral was also taken away when she died. The local administration cremated the body.

In another tweet, Priyanka wrote that you have behaved inhumanely. Instead of punishing the criminals, you behaved like a criminal yourself. He did double atrocities with an innocent child and his family. If Yogi Adityanath is ashamed at all, resign. There is no justice in your rule, only injustice.
