Corona was to be conquered in 21 days, but ruined the future of millions of youth: Rahul Gandhi

New delhi date. 9 September 2020, Wednesday

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday issued a video message to the Modi government at the Center. He accused the Modi government of saying that the sudden lockdown imposed by the central government was an attack on the future of the country's youth, the poor and the unorganized economy.

He further said that due to the Modi government's decision to lockdown, crores of people have become unemployed in the country, while 97 lakh people have had to leave their homeland. In 21 days the government should have got rid of the corona virus, but due to the clumsy decision of the government millions of people became unemployed. The three decisions of the Modi government have worsened the state of the economy, leading to rising unemployment in the country.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also tweeted about this, saying that today the youth of the country want to express their grief. Young people want to protest against stalled recruitment, changing exam dates, appointments as well as new jobs. Today we all need to support the youth in their fight for employment.

According to the health department, 89,706 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in India in the last 24 hours and 1,115 people have died.
