Amid tensions with China, all-party meeting at 5 pm tonight, Congress may raise LAC issue

New delhi date. 16 September 2020, Wednesday

The government has called an all-party meeting amid ongoing tensions with China in Ladakh. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 5 p.m. Which will include leaders of political parties. The meeting is scheduled to follow a statement made by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the Lok Sabha on the dispute with China.

The all-party meeting will discuss the government's plans for the coming days of the parliamentary session. At the same time, the objections raised by the opposition will be discussed. The Congress party may be asked to discuss the LAC issue at this meeting.

A statement from the government was issued during the session but the entire controversy was being discussed from the area. The Congress also expressed its opposition in the Lok Sabha. But now the government has insisted on convening the meeting for discussion.

In his statement in the Lok Sabha, Rajnath Singh said, "The situation in Ladakh is serious and China is trying to change the status quo of the LAC." "We want to resolve this dispute through dialogue, but the Indian Army is ready if the situation changes," Rajnath said.

In the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, the Home Ministry said in a reply that there had been no intrusion on the China border in the last six months, which Rahul Gandhi questioned. However, the government is calling the ongoing dispute with China in Ladakh a violation of the LAC, not an intrusion.

The Congress and the entire Opposition, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, are aggressive on the government. Rahul Gandhi has been tweeting daily accusing the government of misleading the China controversy and intimidating Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Even on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the government had issued a separate statement.
