New delhi date. 20 September 2020, Sunday

Two bills related to agriculture have been passed in the Rajya Sabha by a voice vote. The Prime Minister has called it a big day in agricultural history. Opposition MPs also disrespected the Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker. On which 6 ministers of the central government held a joint press conference. Among them were Rajnath Singh, Prakash Javadekar, Prahlad Joshi, Piyush Goyal, Thavarchand Gehlot and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

On the issue of disrespecting Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Harivansh Narayan Singh, who was targeting the Opposition, Rajnath Singh said, "This incident was wrong." This should not have been done. This was tragic, a violation of parliamentary limits. The conduct with the vice-president was wrong. It was very sad to get on the seat, tear the rule book. It has hurt not only their reputation but also parliamentary democracy.

"I am deeply saddened, saddened and even more embarrassed by the kind of unparliamentary treatment meted out by some opposition leaders during the debate on two agriculture bills in the Rajya Sabha today," he said. To date, there has never been a time in the parliamentary history of India when a rule book has been torn in front of a seat, a mic has been broken, and indecent gestures have been made by climbing on the seat table.

Rajnath Singh said that what has happened in the Rajya Sabha today has definitely damaged the dignity of Parliament. Limitations have a very important place in parliamentary democracy. Even the traditions of democracy are embarrassed when parliamentary limits are broken. The kind of treatment that has been meted out to the vice president by some opposition MPs. I condemn it.

Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh said on the agriculture bill that both the bills are historic. Attempts are being made to mislead the farmers on the basis of misleading facts only. These bills will increase the income of farmers. This is a big step towards doubling the income of farmers. MSPs and APMCs are not being eliminated.

It may be mentioned that two agricultural bills were passed in the Rajya Sabha. In the upper house these bills passed by a voice vote. Meanwhile, the Opposition has made a lot of noise while the Modi government is attacking the Opposition over the bill.
