424 crore master plan for Badrinath Dham, announced by the district officer of Chamoli


- Development work will be carried out in three phases

A master plan of Rs 424 crore has been drawn up for the development of the world-famous Tirthdham Badrinath and enhancing the facilities for pilgrims, said Chamoli district development officials.

Chamoli District Magistrate Swati Bhadauria told the media that a master plan had been drawn up to alleviate the difficulties faced by the devotees and increase their facilities. The plan was to develop the shrine in three phases.

In the first phase, the remaining Netra Sarovar and Badri Sarovar will be beautified. In the second phase, there are plans to develop the main temple and its surroundings. In the third phase, renovation work of roads connecting the temple with the rest of Netra Sarovar will be undertaken.

He further said that while doing this work we were preparing all the details of the private properties that would be affected. Once all the property details are ready, how to help those people will be considered.
