Yogi government's tough stance against mafias


-So assets worth Rs 300 crore seized so far

Yogi Adityanath's government was cracking down on mafias and gangsters in Uttar Pradesh. So far, Rs 300 crore worth of Mafia assets have been seized. The government and the police had a red eye on the mafia gangs and their leaders.

The Uttar Pradesh government has so far registered 495 cases under the Gangster Act, with the highest number of cases against Mukhtar Ansari and his gangsters. In fact, Mukhtar Ansari, Atik Ahmed, Anil Dujana and Sundar Bhati have long been the eyes of a yogi. Yogi dismissed the matter and urged the police to take stern action against the mafia gangs. The Uttar Pradesh police have so far seized assets worth Rs 48 crore in Agra zone, Rs 47 crore in Varanasi zone, Rs 25 crore in Bareilly zone and Rs 10 crore each in Azamgarh, Ghazipur and Noida. Mukhtar Ansari's assets worth Rs 100 crore were seized alone. Mukhtar Ansari's property worth crores was demolished in Hazratganj, the most posh area of ​​College Lucknow. The property was registered in the names of Mukhtar's sons Abbas and Umar. The Lucknow Development Corporation arrived with 20 JCB machines and more than 250 police personnel and demolished the two-storey building. Mukhtar Ansari will also be charged for the cost of demolishing the construction work which was done by illegally occupying the land of Lucknow Development Corporation. Mukhtar had seized the government land by illegally tampering with the land documents and built a house on it. The Yogi government also announced legal action against the municipal as well as government officials during whose tenure the building was constructed.

The Yogi government came under fire from Congress leaders recently, especially after the major crime incidents in Kanpur, Agra and elsewhere in July. In response, the yogi government began taking drastic measures.
