Ayodhya, Ta. Thursday, August 6, 2020

At the base of the temple being built at Shriram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya are the sacred soil and water of rivers of pilgrimage sites all over India. The land of the temple was worshiped on August 5 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The soil of Sharda Peeth in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir was also brought for him.

Considering the enmity between India and Pakistan, it was not easy to bring the soil of Sharda's back. No Indian is allowed to enter POK but the mission to bring Sharda Peeth clay for the Ram temple was completed by an Indian couple and also on a Chinese passport. The couple had brought the clay on their way to Hong Kong.

The couple is originally from Karnataka and Bajrangbali Hanumanji was born in Karnataka. Bajrangbali, Ram-Ravan brought Sanjeev when Lakshman fainted during the war. The same Venkatesh Raman from Karnataka and his wife POK have brought the clay of Sharda Peeth for the Ram temple. They both live in China.

Seva Sharda Peetha approached him to take the clay. Venkatesh Raman and his wife were sent there on Chinese passports as Indians were barred from entering POK. The couple flew from Hong Kong to Muzaffarabad, the capital of POK, and returned to Sharda. They then came to Delhi via Hong Kong with offerings and clay.

In Delhi, Sharda handed over clay to Peeth

The couple handed over the clay and prasad to Anjana Sharma, a member of Seva Sharda Peeth. According to Sharma, he came to Ayodhya on the instructions of Ravindra Pandit, the chief priest of Sharda Peeth. Sharma also brought with him water from Anjana mountain in Karnataka. Mount Anjana is considered to be the birthplace of Hanumanji. He also said that the holy water at Gokarna has also been brought for Bhumi Pujan. Sacred soil and water brought from Sri Lanka and Nepal were also kept in Bhumi Pujan.

Sharda Peeth and Kashmiri Pandits

The Sharda Peeth in Pakistan-administered Kashmir is one of the three holy sites of Kashmiri Pandits. It is located on the banks of the Neelam River and is about 70 km from Uri, India.

Roads to reach Sharda Peeth

There are two ways to reach POK's Sharda back. The first from Muzaffarabad and the second from Poonch Rawalkot. The road from Uri to Muzaffarabad is popular and most people use it. Last year, the Pakistan government approved a corridor to Sharda Peeth so that Indian Hindus could visit there.
