Corona's reputation in India is deteriorating day by day. More than 69,600 cases of corona were reported in the country in 24 hours on Thursday. Corona cases in India are increasing by more than one lakh in two days.

A total of 24,26,073 new corona cases were reported in the country on Thursday. More than 1,010 people died from the corona on Thursday. The total death toll has risen to 28,078. However, a total of more than 17.42 lakh patients in Corona have recovered during this period, PTI's Tally said.

With the rise of corona cases in India, the number of patients recovering has also increased. On Thursday, 56,888 patients were cured in a single day. With this, the recovery rate in the country has gone up to 70.92 per cent while the death rate has come down further to 1.96 per cent, the health ministry said.

Maharashtra, the most corona-affected state in the country, had a total of 5.60 lakh cases of corona while more than 19,000 people have died. Corona's condition is even worse in Uttar Pradesh, where the total number of corona cases has crossed 1.40 lakh and the death toll has risen to 2259.

Nritya Gopal Das, president of the Ram Mandir Trust, who was present on the same platform with Prime Minister Modi at the Bhumi Pujan of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, has tested positive for corona. Nritya Gopal Das, 80, has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

He was present at the Krishna Janmotsav celebrations in Mathura on Wednesday. Nritya Gopal Das, President of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, anointed Lord Krishna at Bhagwat Bhavan in Mathura on Wednesday from 11.00 to 1.00 pm. However, on Thursday morning, he complained of poor health and tested positive for Corona.

Meanwhile, Corona has also taken care of Himachal Pradesh. A record 180 cases of corona were reported in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. This brought the total number of corona cases in Himachal to 3745.

Kiran Majumdar Shaw, a leading woman entrepreneur in the biotechnology industry, on the other hand, rejected Russia's claim to have developed the world's first vaccine against the corona virus. He said Russia's claim was "unacceptable" due to the absence of clinical trial data and the fact that more advanced programs were being run in other parts of the world.
